Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Ranggo website, web application, and related services (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Eligibility and Accounts
You may use the Service only if you can form a binding contract with us and are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law.
If you create an account, you are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping your credentials secure, and all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised or used without authorization.
Service and Changes
Ranggo provides a Japanese learning experience that may include lessons, challenges, progress tracking, streaks, heatmaps, and other educational features. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
We may also set limits on certain features, eligibility rules, or usage volume to maintain the Service and protect users.
Subscriptions and Payments
If we offer a paid plan, the pricing, billing cycle, renewal terms, cancellation method, refund terms, and any plan-specific access rules shown at checkout or inside the Service will form part of your agreement with us. For the current refund rules, see our Refund Policy.
We may activate, deactivate, grant, restore, suspend, or terminate your account or subscription access through support or administrative action when needed to enforce these Terms, handle billing or support issues, comply with law, or protect the Service and other users.
Unless stated otherwise, subscription changes may take effect immediately or at the end of the current billing period depending on the plan, provider, or reason for the change.
You are responsible for any applicable taxes, fees, and charges from your payment provider. We may use third-party payment providers to process transactions.
We may change pricing or plan availability from time to time, with notice where required by law or where reasonably appropriate.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service. For example, you must not:
- Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive activity
- Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service or its infrastructure
- Attempt to bypass security, access controls, or usage limits
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service except as allowed by law

Content and Feedback
If you submit feedback, bug reports, suggestions, or other content, you keep ownership of that content, but you grant Ranggo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, and use it to operate, improve, and support the Service.
You are responsible for making sure you have the rights needed to submit any content you provide to us.
We may remove or restrict content that we believe violates these Terms or creates risk for the Service or other users.
Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on or link to third-party services, such as authentication, hosting, analytics, or payment providers. Those third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.
We are not responsible for third-party services, their content, or how they handle your information.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, deactivate, restore, or terminate your account or access to the Service if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for the Service or other users, or if we need to do so for legal, billing, security, fraud-prevention, or support reasons.
You may stop using the Service at any time. If your account or subscription is terminated, sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We also do not guarantee specific learning outcomes, test scores, or exam results from use of the Service.
Any educational content provided through the Service is for general informational purposes and should not be treated as professional or certification advice.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ranggo and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or use.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD $100.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date above, and may provide additional notice where required by law.
Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the changes.
